Rayonics won the bid for the intelligent manhole cover project of Shanghai Information Pipeline Co., Ltd.on June 1, 2020. Shanghai Information Pipeline Co., Ltd. is a company dedicated to the management of underground pipeline resources, including mobile, telecommunications, China Unicom, and Wasu. Even some companies such as national defense fiber optic cables lease the underground pipeline resources of pipeline companies. However, the internal staff of the pipeline company revealed that various third-party maintenance companies used to use the pipeline resources of the information pipeline company to privately pull and unload the optical cable in violation of regulations, causing huge economic losses and maintenance pressure to the pipeline company.
Based on this phenomenon, the company proposed a system plan for the Internet of Things manhole cover, which can effectively solve this problem by adding a manhole cover lock to the existing pipeline resources. A second layer of smart manhole covers are added to the existing pipeline manhole covers , so that third-party maintenance personnel can no longer open the manhole covers privately to release the optical cables. Every time you need to pierce a cable, you need to make an appointment in advance to apply for a work order. After the relevant personnel have verified the information, you can authorize the opening of the well. This fundamentally solves the problem of accidentally piercing the optical cable due to the private opening of the manhole cover, which brings tangibility to the information pipeline company. The current economic benefits greatly reduce the cost of personnel maintenance and inspection.
